Overtone Technology Ltd
Show more Show less
Countless online articles are created every day.
How do you find the right one for you? How will an audience feel, or act, after reading?
It’s getting harder to navigate this ocean and to find content that is relevant.
Overtone sorts through the flood of online content. We teach computers to read like people. Our systems look for signals that resonate with human audiences, like informational or interview styles, and tones from anger to joy.
People are crying out for a more human internet. Businesses are seeing falling engagement and revenue, and brands are finding it harder to connect with audiences. So far, the approach has been to simply produce more content. But that’s not sustainable.
The online community needs a new approach. Overtone brings it. By focusing on the content itself – and only the content – and by building proprietary models that can deliver insights as soon as the content exists. We find indicators of purpose and performance. That’s how we deliver a future proof signal of content relevance. In addition, as individuals and regulators push for a more people-friendly approach, our data is privacy focused. There’s no PII: we’re GDPR compliant. Just the text. And we’re adding audio capability too.
Our business connects the newsroom with the boardroom. We do this in journalism, PR, marketing and advertising. Whichever part of the industry we work for, the goal is the same: generating crucial, relevant insights at speed and scale. This helps businesses save time and money, in dozens of languages across the globe.

The optimisation considers coverage of maximum destinations with minimum number of transport modes and maximum possible capacity usage, ensuring highly efficient routes.
The efficient optimisation methodology can quickly provide new logistics routes for any changes in the supply chain, such as changes in the ship ETA time, road transport availability or rail timings. It also considers the delivery time requirements and can provide alerts for any impacts on the supply chain, especially JIT services.
Other unique advantages are:
- Optional budgetary constraints
- Customisable criteria priority based on customer type
Our business and solution experts will work with RailX to assess and solve any unique supply chain requirements. Diverse perspectives will be considered to ensure access, understanding, interpretation and use for all relevant user groups.
Current route optimisation software like Pulse, TrainPlus are specific to railways, but we will be tapping into the high-potential space of multimodal, multi-criteria route optimisation. We plan to expand to air freight and scale to other sectors like manufacturing, eCommerce while seeking licensing and white-label partnerships with established logistics firms.

OptimalSlope Ltd
Show more Show less
The goal of achieving net zero by 2050 requires the mining industry to reduce its carbon footprint, which currently accounts for approximately 8% of the global carbon footprint. Most metals needed for clean technologies (e.g. lithium and nickel for electric car batteries, copper for electrification, iron for wind turbines) and everyday life (e.g. tens of metals for an iPhone) are extracted from open-pit mines. By implementing more efficient pit walls, the industry could save 200 million metric tonnes of CO2-equivalent carbon emissions and $7 billion per year in direct excavation costs globally.
To address this challenge, OptimalSlope Ltd commercialises a new and unique geotechnical software programme which determines optimal pitwall shapes for metalliferous open pit mines so that the overall steepness of the pitwall, from crest to toe, is maximised for the given lithology and rock properties. OptimalSlope’s innovation (Slope Optimiser) can determine the steepest, optimal slope profiles for any given input lithology, as well as visualise and export the output into strategic mine planning software.
OptimalSlope’s core value proposition to customers is that it offers mine owners a new software tool (Slope Optimiser) for designing mine pit walls. By using Slope Optimiser, mine owners can increase their mine excavation efficiency, leading to profitability increases of up to 50%. Additionally, Slope Optimiser can help reduce the mine carbon footprint in Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 20% on average and decrease the number of rock tailings. Mine designers will benefit from a much more automated design process that requires fewer manual operations. This will result in a safer and more consistent mine design process.
Our next milestone is to achieve a 10-50 fold code execution time speedup using Machine Learning (ML).
