The UK’s agricultural sector faces some of the most complex decarbonisation challenges, with seemingly unavoidable greenhouse gas emissions arising from biological processes such as soil management and livestock production, in addition to emissions produced by fuel and energy consumption. Artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to help the sector reduce emissions, improve productivity, strengthen resilience and accelerate the transition to a more sustainable and competitive agricultural future.
Part of the Artificial Intelligence for Decarbonisation’s Virtual Centre of Excellence (ADViCE), this event will explore the development innovative AI solutions from leading digital businesses for decarbonisation across the UK agricultural landscape.
As a collaboration between Digital Catapult, Energy Systems Catapult, and The Alan Turing Institute, and as part of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero Innovation Portfolio, ADViCE will be delivering a series of events that looks at the current state of play for AI deployment within key sectors of the UK economy.
