Hybrid working and ways of working together

At Digital Catapult, we follow a set of principles that are flexible and agile to allow us all to work successfully whether that is alone in a remote work environment or together in our collaborative office spaces. We trust our employees to do the right thing to deliver our work with pride and high standards and to participate in and contribute to the overall mission of the organisation.

We work flexibly, but always with the ultimate goal being to deliver our personal, team, functional and organisational objectives. Typically, we expect everyone will work between one day and three days per week onsite from a Digital Catapult office location.

Interview process

Interview process

We strive to ensure that all our processes at Digital Catapult, including our recruitment process, are inclusive. This includes the important step of ensuring that our job descriptions are gender neutral.

Our typical interview process includes a telephone screening with one of our Talent Acquisition team, followed by 2 to 3 interview stages dependent on the role and level of seniority. We utilise task based interviews and competency based interviews to assess applicants consistently and fairly. Wherever possible, we strive to ensure we have a gender balanced and diverse interview panel.

If you need any adjustments to make your interview experience with us as comfortable as possible, we will always endeavour to make reasonable adjustments.

Early Careers Programmes

We are proud to support a wide variety of early career opportunities. We have successfully delivered summer work experience programmes for pupils in years 10 and 11 at local schools, and offer early career apprenticeships throughout the year in partnership with ADA – the National College of Digital Skills. We are also delighted to work in partnership with the Civil Service Fast Stream to offer secondments to Faststreamers in their second year.

We plan to deliver a range of exciting pathways for early career and returners, including internships and graduate programmes.
