Luke Sperrin

Luke Sperrin is Head of Clean Energy Industries at Digital Catapult, where he drives innovation across the UK energy sector by applying advanced technologies such as AI, quantum, immersive technologies, IoT, future networks and digital twins. Working with energy network operators, strategic partners and scale-ups, he leads programmes that address challenges across gas and electricity networks, helping organisations improve affordability, resilience and progress towards net zero. With more than 10 years’ experience in cleantech and energy innovation, Luke spent five years conducting research at the University of Cambridge before co-founding H2GO Power, where he led R&D, innovation and technical coordination for hydrogen technology development and commercial strategy. He is passionate about turning scientific research into impactful products and systems that benefit industry and society, helping bridge the gap between emerging technologies and real-world deployment.
