KTN Fireside chat: Getting involved with Made Smarter Technology Accelerator

Date: 7 January 2021 11:00 - 11:45

Fireside chat with Justin Cross, Partnership Lead at Digital Catapult, an introduction to Made Smarter Technology Accelerator.

The UK’s manufacturing sector accounts for £192 billion of economy output with 44% of our global exports worth over £273 billion to the UK economy. Adopting advanced digital technologies within the manufacturing industry is key to strengthening the UK economy and aiding recovery, improving productivity, increasing market capitalisation, export growth and accelerating sectors towards industrial net zero.

The Made Smarter Technology Accelerator is a one of a kind programme designed specifically for the UK’s manufacturing industry to drive innovation across four technology layers: future networks, immersive technologies, artificial intelligence and distributed systems. It enables the UK’s pioneering technology innovation community to join forces with some of the UK’s leading medium and large industrial businesses to develop solutions to industry-set challenges. The programme provides the funding and a platform to produce industry transforming prototypes, proofs of concepts and minimum viable products in order to drive productivity, digitalisation and innovation to push forward the fourth industrial revolution.

Join us on Thursday 7th January where KTN’s digital manufacturing expert Nicole Ballantyne will speak with Innovation Partner at Digital Catapult, Justin Cross to explore more about the benefits of joining acceleration programmes and the opportunities the NEW Made Smarter Technology Accelerator offers startups and early stage SMEs – plus we’ll find out who the seven Industry Challenge Owners are.
