Meet us at BEYOND 2023

BEYOND 2023 is heading to the prestigious Royal Institution in London this year and bringing as ever a compelling, thought-provoking programme to an audience of world-leading researchers, makers, investors, business leaders, and thinkers.

For its 6th year, BEYOND will take place in London, with another carefully curated programme of R&D creative innovation, expert speakers, ground-breaking projects and lots more, including programming from BEYOND partners.

This year’s conference theme shines a spotlight on the huge role UK creatives are playing in building some extraordinary ground-breaking projects as part of international teams. Showcasing this phenomenal work, BEYOND 2023 will ask if these projects are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the potential of building new global partnerships for the creative industries.

Jessica Driscoll, Director of Immersive at Digital Catapult is hosting a panel discussion around “Advancing Media Production: Exploring the boundaries of technology-enabled live performance” on 22nd of November 2023 at 13:15 alongside panellists Dan Munslow, Executive Producer at Target3D, Ruth Gibson and Bruno Martelli, Virtual Realists at Gibson/Martelli, and Alexander Whitley, Founder and Choreographer at the Alexander Whitley Dance Company.

Fresh off the launch of the Advanced Media Production studios, the panel will deep dive into the fascinating intersection of technology and live performance. In particular, the panellists will:

• Discuss how the technologies made available through the network will be transformative to artists and performers
• Share learnings from the UK’s first permanently 5G connected studios
• Explore what production looks like when the technologists get involved.
