The Black Founders Programme is a 13-week accelerator targeted at pre-seed or seed stage Black-founded companies creating innovative products and services in the creative industries.

Digital Catapult is collaborating with Sony Music UK and Sony Music Publishing UK to launch the second iteration of the programme to support Black founders at a critical time for UK startups. Join this webinar to hear about the opportunities the programme offers to Black-founded companies in the UK. 

At this online briefing event, we will provide everything you need to know to join the programme, what we are looking for and to give you the opportunity to have your questions answered directly by Digital Catapult, Sony Music UK and Sony Music Publishing UK.

This webinar welcomes registrations from pre-seed or seed stage Black-founded deep tech companies creating innovative products and services in the creative industries looking to raise investment in the next 12 months. 

During this webinar, Digital Catapult, Sony Music UK and Sony Music Publishing UK will dive into an overview of the programme, the benefits of joining as a participant and provide guidance on how to apply and the selection process.

In particular, attendees will:

• Understand how the programme provides a range of benefits including investment readiness support, creating new connections with investors and potential partners, plus workshops to support your development process
• Gain insights about the success of the first programme
• Be able to ask any key questions you have and understand what success looks like on the programme

The Black Founders Programme is a 13-week accelerator targeted at high-growth potential pre-seed or seed stage companies creating innovative products and services in the creative industries. Sony Music UK and Sony Music Publishing UK are the Programme Sponsors for this programme.

The aim of the programme is to fast track high-growth potential startups from a business and investment perspective, providing the support needed to increase their investment readiness level.

The programme will feature masterclasses and mentoring from experts in the creative industries including arts, music, gaming and advertising specialists. This programme offers you an opportunity to expand your network whilst developing and improving business planning, commercial strategy, pricing and positioning, operational processes and investment readiness.

The majority of the programme will be delivered remotely via online calls and sessions with a small number of in-person events at Digital Catapult or Sony Music UK’s London offices, including a programme kick off, networking and final event.
