Loud Parade: case study

About Loud Parade

Loud Parade makes bespoke music for brands and creative agencies by facilitating the complicated process of syncing and licensing popular music. Using behavioural science and artificial intelligence (AI) to measure the marketing effectiveness and promotional impact of music and audio assets, Loud Parade provides music by working with a network of independent artists and through relationships with major labels.

Working with independent artists to create authentic and innovative music

With the help of AI and a network of 30 independent artists, co-founders Rahmon Agbaje and Maatin Adewunmi are able to deliver innovative, authentic and creative ads to global audiences. A joint passion for music and data science brought them together and ignited the idea behind the project. Loud Parade’s bespoke music tracks have gained over eight billion campaign views, and through an innovative approach to music, the founders support new and upcoming artists to help make advertising more authentic.

Loud Parade uses music as a form of storytelling and creates unique sounds to help brands be distinctive, creating memorable experiences for the end-user.

Supported by Digital Catapult and Sony Music, Loud Parade strives for new successes

The Black Founders Programme, in a collaboration with Sony Music Entertainment UK, was designed to help Black-founded companies fast track their growth and get investment ready.

Loud Parade discovered Digital Catapult through Erika Brodnock, one of their mentors who was also instrumental in setting up the Black Founders Programme as a consultant. Rahmon and Maatin joined the programme as they prepared for an upcoming funding round by seeking guidance from expert advisors, and saw it as an opportunity to gain more knowledge and understanding about the music industry. One compelling benefit was the opportunity to work with programme partner Sony Music UK to explore the expansion of Loud Parade’s offering of music for brands.

Collaborating with the Sony Music team provided Loud Parade with opportunities to engage potential clients and broaden its music catalogue offerings. Through the programme, Rahmon and Maatin anticipated connecting with like-minded founders and investors, refining their business value proposition, and leveraging the programme’s exposure to further develop their business.

Loud Parade receives investment readiness support from Digital Catapult

The FutureScope Black Founders Programme has allowed Loud Parade to develop its value proposition and connect with investors, improving the company’s investment readiness and deepening understanding of how to manage expectations when pitching to potential investors.

The pitch sessions were a great opportunity for Rahmon and Maatin to learn how to position their business, understand their strengths and find areas for improvement, while discovering more about the investment landscape: a unique chance to explore different routes for funding, such as Innovate UK grants.

Furthermore, being exposed to real opportunities with pitching to investors helped them to realise their potential and increase their preparedness for future opportunities.

The Black Founders Programme provided the entrepreneurs with a number of benefits, including a network of mentors, pitching lessons and opportunities for building new connections. Rahmon and Maatin knew about Digital Catapult and Sony Music UK’s support for startups and scaleups, and found it very useful being part of the programme at this early stage of their business journey.

Joining the programme was a pivotal point for Loud Parade in preparation for a fundraiser later in 2024. Regular check-ins and feedback from Sony Music UK and Digital Catapult helped to get ready for pitching and increase investment readiness for the company.

The Black Founders Programme was fantastic for our business. The support of the team took us to the next level and made us investment ready. Rahmon Agbaje
Co-Founder, Loud Parade
