Digital Catapult launches new offering to double the deep tech investment it enables to £1billion by 2035

Digital Catapult has today confirmed its commitment to helping to raise £1 billion in UK deep tech investment by 2035, publishing its Annual Impact report for 2025. To enable deep tech companies to scale, Digital Catapult helped UK startups raise a collective £53.6 million in funding, representing a £12.3 million year-on-year increase in startup investment.   

Since 2018, Digital Catapult has been a catalyst for scaling UK deep tech companies, helping startups raise investment of £596 million in the last eight years. With its commitment to enable the UK’s deep tech startup community raise £1 billion over the next decade, improve industrial supply chain resilience, and advance UK development and use of data driven and open future networks, Digital Catapult is laser-focused on partnering for progress with organisations across the UK’s major economic sectors to provide meaningful and sustainable deep tech solutions for long term growth. 

Digital Catapult has also today launched a new membership offering to create a community of innovators and industry leaders interested in, and committed to, driving the practical application of deep tech across major industrial sectors of the UK’s economy. The membership offering welcomes startups, large industrial organisations, technologists and policymakers with regular access to Digital Catapult’s capabilities and the opportunity to work closely with its expert team, convening capabilities across the UK’s innovation landscape and bridging the gap between industry, academia, investors and government. 

First available at its London hub within the Knowledge Quarter, members will engage in special events and have access to deep tech resources, advisory and strategic support. Members will also receive enhanced access to Digital Catapult’s nationwide network of facilities including the UK Digital Twin Centre in Belfast, the UK’s only Open Testing and Integration Centre (OTIC) for advanced connectivity solutions, and access to its Advanced Media Production facilities in Gateshead and East London. 

In the last financial year, Digital Catapult established 66 new industrial collaborations, 41 new academic collaborations and engaged with 312 digital-first companies across its programmes and initiatives. Digital Catapult’s membership offering will now allow the organisation to build on these successes, convening capabilities and strengthening partnerships across key sectors of the UK economy.
