About our PlugFest Participants

Digital Catapult is proud to be an international lab host for the O-RAN Global PlugFest – Fall 2024. Throughout the Autumn we will be working with world leading vendors to help accelerate the disaggregation, diversification and interoperability of networks through the adoption of Open RAN technologies.

During this PlugFest, we will be focusing on three themes/testing scenarios – with results to be published in December 2024. This includes:

Energy efficiency testing with three sub-themes

Energy consumption on O-RU
Energy consumption on COTS server CPU hosting CU/DU without an accelerator card
Energy consumption on COTS server CPU hosting CU/DU with an accelerator card

Open RAN security testing with two sub-themes

Open RAN baseline security testing using automation
Open RAN security with DDoS attack testing

End-to-end testing with two sub-themes

End-to-end baseline testing using automation
End-to-end testing with delay impairment
