Tim Lawrence

Director, Digital Supply Chain Hub

Tim joined Digital Catapult in September 2021 as Director of Digital Supply Chain and the Made Smarter Innovation hub. Tim has extensive experience in improving global businesses and supply chains working within the Automotive, Consumer Goods, Aerospace, Defence, Construction, Life Science and Industrial Sectors. His experience includes 25 years in supply chain consultancy, leading global companies to deliver transformation in their business and operations focused on strategy, operating model and organisational design, digital supply chain, restructuring and performance improvement.

Dr. M. M. Hassan Mahmud

Lead AI/ML Technologist

Dr. M. M. Hassan Mahmud is a Lead AI/ML Technologist at Digital Catapult and he leads the AI/ML core technologies unit at DC. Prior to joining Digital Catapult, he was a Data Scientist in industry, building and deploying machine learning models for supply chain optimisation, and for financial crime detection. As an AI/ML researcher, he began his career in academia by obtaining a PhD in AI/ML from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and then continued on as a research fellow in AI/ML at the Australian National University and University of Edinburgh, during which his research covered a broad spectrum, from fundamental machine learning theory to applied robotics.
