Advanced Media Production Interconnected Studios – Online launch event

Join Digital Catapult and Target3D for the online launch event of our interconnected Advanced Media Production (AMP) network on Wednesday 20 September 2023 from 14:00.

Developed by Digital Catapult in collaboration with Target3D and funded by Innovate UK, the Advanced Media Production network consists of two studios located in Gateshead and Dock Street in London, connected via a 10-gigabit line which will enable teams across the country to connect and work together in real time. Both sites focus on R&D and innovation for the creative industry and showcase convergent production technologies such as high density LED walls, motion-capture, real-time rendering engines – all whilst leveraging 5G infrastructure.

In 2021, Target3D partnered with Digital Catapult to launch and run the Virtual Production Test Stage in Guildford, UK. Following its success the collaboration continues with Advanced Media Production (AMP), a network of technology studios from Digital Catapult and Target3D that provide access to Virtual Production and 3D technology for filmmakers, universities and creative industries across the UK.

As the UK authority on advanced digital technology, Digital Catapult is proud to back the scaling of the screen industries across the nation through innovation and the application of technology to creative content distribution, consumption and discovery.

The Advanced Media Production network online launch event will be of interest to businesses and organisations of all sizes including universities and skills providers, digital agencies, filmmakers, games developers and production studios.
