Professor Keith Jackson

Professor Keith Jackson is Chair of Digital Catapult and Non-Executive Chair of Ilika.
A successful entrepreneur and engineering leader, Keith brings wide ranging experience from industry and academia to Digital Catapult. He founded a successful startup business that grew to provide engine control systems used in millions of vehicles around the world and designed a £10 million industry 4.0 digital manufacturing project for Meggitt with IBM and the Innovate UK Catapult Network’s AMRC in Sheffield and MTC in Ansty.
Keith was previously Chief Technology Officer at Meggitt, Chief Technology Officer Control and Electrical Systems at Rolls-Royce and a Visiting Professor of Enterprise and Entrepreneurship at The University of Sheffield’s Automated Controls and Systems Engineering department.
Keith has been Fellow of the Society of Automotive Engineers, a previous Rolls-Royce Engineering Fellow, a Fellow of the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing, and a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society. He is an active mentor to leaders in startups and PLCs.
