Deborah Colville

Deborah is the Director of the UK Digital Twin Centre run by Digital Catapult. In her previous role with Belfast City Council, she established the City Innovation Office driving service transformation programmes delivering a £12 million efficiency programme. As founder of the Smart Belfast Programme Deborah delivered cross sectoral innovation programmes securing £10 million funding to run trials and testbeds working with academia and over 60 SMES.

Deborah led a successful bid of £130 million for UK Treasury funding to support the digital innovation ambitions of the Belfast Region City Deal. As the Council’s Strategic Programme Manager she oversaw a £150 million Belfast Investment Programme reporting into both political and audit committees. Deborah has served on a range of smart city advisory groups including ministerial appointments such as the Local Government Staff Commission for NI and a Ministerial led Data Task Force.
