The creative immersive content lifecycle: from distribution to restoration

This Audience of the Future report, The creative immersive content lifecycle: from distribution to restoration, produced in a collaboration between UKRI and Digital Catapult, explores some of the challenges facing immersive technologies throughout the lifecycle of immersive content from finding funding at the pre-production phase through to post premiere.

Producers of immersive content can find it challenging to develop and distribute their works. This means that immersive work does not often evolve past the premiere. Documentation for the staging of the work can be ad hoc as opposed to systematic, with VR experiences more likely to be captured effectively than those which require more complex staging or a site specific experience with more formal requirements.

Aimed at commissioners, producers and collectors who work with immersive technologies, download the report now to explore our research into the creative immersive content lifecycle. This work is part of a series.
