Digital Catapult joins Partnership on AI

Posted 24 Sep 2019

Digital Catapult is proud to be named as a Partner in the latest admission of companies to the Partnership on AI (PAI).

PAI is a global multi-stakeholder non-profit focused on the creation and dissemination of best practices in AI. The 11 new Partners, including Digital Catapult, brings PAI’s multi-stakeholder coalition to 100 organisations, representing some of the world’s leading academics, civil society organisations, technology companies, nonprofits and policy groups, active on five continents and in 12 countries.

Jeremy Silver, CEO of Digital Catapult, commented: “Digital Catapult’s work with AI and machine learning innovators has exposed just how important the responsible development and deployment of AI is – and how hard it is to implement. Therefore, we are especially proud to join the Partnership on AI and motivated to actively contribute to, and learn from, its work.”

Julia Rhodes Davis, director of partnerships at the Partnership on AI, said: “We are excited to introduce these 11 new organisations to bring additional insights and expertise to our mission of developing best practices in artificial intelligence. The diversity of voices and experiences helps improve our work and advance the creation of best practices in AI.”

By gathering the leading companies, organizations, and people differently affected by artificial intelligence, PAI establishes a common ground between entities which otherwise may not have cause to work together – and in so doing – serves as a uniting force for good in the AI ecosystem. The diversity of Partners is essential for enabling PAI to further its mission to advance an open platform for discussion and engagement about AI and its influences on people and society, and help realise the promise of artificial intelligence.
