Digital Catapult is looking for the next cohort of startups to join its flagship artificial intelligence (AI) programme – Machine Intelligence Garage.
Focused on AI startups using internet of things (IoT) data in their models, this next cohort provides access to computation power, technical capability and industry expertise to develop and build machine learning and AI solutions with the applications of IoT.
Successful applicants will gain access to best in class cloud compute, hosted hardware or UK HPC from programmes partners and collaborators including: AWS, Google Cloud and NVIDIA, alongside IoT and AI focused workshops, mentoring and networking sessions.

Who should apply
This open call has been designed to support early-stage startups with AI models making use of IoT data.
Successful applicants will have:
- Business plan: A well defined and viable product or service
- Ethics: Have completed an assessment and understanding of the ethical impacts of the AI solution
- Tech plan: Organisations that have tech expertise and an implementation plan
- Data ready: The necessary data ready to be used

The timeline for the cohort is outlined below:
- December – Cohort assessed (decision before Christmas)
- January – Cohort on-boarded and cohort launched
- February – Cloud platform sessions (workshops/deep dives and office hours sessions)
- March – Mentorship/speed dating day. End of month showcase/demo day.
We are also keen to have an industry specific roadshow for some of the startups, where we link people to some of the industry players we have identified as useful through surveys with prospective companies.
