The future of training conference: virtual, augmented and mixed reality

This event is an opportunity to discuss emerging technologies and opportunities within business, how they can be applied, to hear from industry experts and to learn how immersive can be used to transform training.

Virtual, augmented and mixed reality creates the opportunity to transport people into an environment or situation where they are enveloped and engaged at greater depth than previously possible. Immersive has shown to be a powerful tool in increasing memory retention through meaningful learning experiences. Over the last couple of years, VR, AR and MR have been used for training purposes across a range of industries.

At this conference we’ll explore immersive for training applications. We’ll hear from industry expert Mel Slater, Immersive Fellow at Digital Catapult, researcher at Universitat de Barcelona and part-time professor of virtual environments at UCL.

To bring the opportunities to life, Digital Catapult will also be showcasing three companies creating content that demonstrates the potential of training with immersive.
