Thales pitch day: exploring unique uses for drone data captured at altitude

Thales is looking for forward-thinking startups, scaleups and industry experts to help it shape market specific value propositions for its commercial drone solution SOARIZON®.

As a leader in air traffic management, unmanned air systems (UAS) and digital security, Thales is applying its capabilities to enter the commercial drone market. Its innovative software solution SOARIZON® combines end-to-end drone operations through a single, trusted platform.

SOARIZON® would like to identify potential partners who use or process data captured from drones to create value. Thales would like to understand more about the innovative ways different industries can use and benefit from drone technology, and is looking to more clearly define the value proposition for specific market segments.

Why you should get involved?

The aim of this pitch day is to identify companies with bright commercial ideas to run a proof of concept in the first half of 2019. Thales would like to partner with innovative external businesses who seek to use data captured at altitude in interesting and different ways.

This is an opportunity for companies to engage with experts and decision makers from Thales across areas including technical, procurement, commercial and business development. The day will provide insights from industry experts and the opportunity to create a route to market strategy.

All participants will be given the opportunity to submit written proposals detailing how they could collaborate with SOARIZON® to help Thales decide who to partner with after the pitch day.

Thales are particularly interested in hearing from companies who use drone data captured at altitude but who do not have the appetite or resources to collect the data through flying drones themselves.

Thales are especially interested in those focusing on the following areas:

• Smart cities
• Search and rescue
• Larger infrastructure for example; construction sites, oil rigs etc.
