Thales Pit Stop: Achieving scalable and sustainable UAS Operations

Date: 18 July 2017 09:00 - 19 July 2017 17:30

Digital Catapult is running a Pit Stop in partnership with Thales to identify collaborators to develop and trial a digital solution that enables viable, sustainable and scalable business solutions across the Civil UAS value chain.

We want to hear from small and medium sized companies, academics and technology experts interested in developing innovative digital solutions for Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) operations.

Thales believe digital capabilities may have the potential to unlock viable, sustainable and scalable business for companies across the Civil UAS value chain – in particular, in the infrastructure sector. Thales is keen to explore the requirements of infrastructure development and operations companies, and their drone operations partners to explore how Thales technologies, data and digital solutions can assist them in exploiting the potential of drones and growing their business.

Background

The Civil UAS market is growing and maturing, with small and large organisations all developing their operational and business models. Many commercial drone operations/service companies face great challenges in delivering profitable growth, because of the burden of acquiring and retaining high quality competences in a number of areas (including commercial, compliance, assurance, asset management, aviation operations and flight planning), constraining their ability to scale up, deliver profitable business and deliver high performing services.

More information regarding this focus area will be supplied to you following registration.

Date, times and location

The closing date to apply for this Pit Stop is midnight on Friday 23 June 2017.

The Pit Stop takes place on the evening of Tuesday 18th July 18:00-21:00 and Wednesday 19th July 09:00-17:00 at the Digital Catapult Centre, Kings Cross.

Those interested in taking part must complete the short application form below. Places will be allocated to those with the most appropriate skills, expertise, services and products in line with the Open Call. We aim to respond to all applications within 14 days of the Open Call closing.
