Industry 4.0 Hack & Pitch 2018 – Manchester

Digital Catapult is supporting Rolls-Royce and Unilever by challenging SMEs to identify innovative solutions that can positively disrupt the UK’s manufacturing industry.

Our Hack & Pitch event taking place at the Industry 4.0 Summit at Manchester Central Convention Complex on 28 February (9 am – 7 pm) and 1 March (9 am – 7 pm) will provide an opportunity for innovative SMEs to showcase their digital technologies and their practical application in the manufacturing industry.

Participants should be from the UK and offshore and be able to respond to the following challenges:

  • Rolls-Royce: How can IoT and Data Analytics be used to improve the success of product compliance throughout the manufacturing process of high-value components?
  • Unilever: What can be done to automatically identify and summarise important phases/stages in manufacturing process signals?

What to expect

Day 1: Participants will workshop solutions with industry experts, manufacturers and technologists before being given time to perfect their pitch for the following day.

Day 2: Participants will see a concentrated morning of closed pitching, followed by a public finale where three finalists will take to the stage seeking to be crowned Summit Champions.
