Digital Catapult presents: Reality01 An introduction to 3D scanning and photogrammetry

Join Digital Catapult and Reality01 on 15 August for a one day workshop exploring the use of 3D scanning and photogrammetry.

This is a unique opportunity to learn a much-coveted skill from an innovative company at the forefront of its industry. The workshop aims to introduce immersive creators to the technology and to give them an opportunity to try out the R01 Scanner.

Who should attend

Anyone interested in learning about how to 3D digitise real world objects. Particularly suited to those who are new to these kinds of technologies, and especially those who work in creative sectors looking to capture objects for highly visual applications (web, immersive VR, AR)

Why you should attend

This workshop is designed to offer an introduction to photogrammetry and other forms of 3D scanning, an understanding of some of the different uses of 3D scanned output, and an insight into the new R01 ClonePro 3D scanner platform.

• Photogrammetry
• An introduction to Reality 01’s turntable/photogrammetry-based scanner
• A talk on relevant uses of 3D scanned content
• Information on post-scanning workflows
• Hands-on time with Reality 01’s scanner

Next steps

Come on the day to hear presentations from Reality01 and bring an object to scan (you will be given advice on suitable object selection for those who sign up). There will be an open evening for those who cannot make it during the day to meet the R01 team and get a view of the scanner and scan output.
