CreativeXR online briefing session: The 5G and AI strands

Date: 24 April 2020 09:00 - 24 April 2020 11:00

Join Digital Catapult and Arts Council England for this online briefing session for applicants to the CreativeXR acceleration programme, focusing on the 5G and the artificial intelligence (AI) strands.

This session will deep dive into the technology strands of CreativeXR, specifically:

  • 5G-ready immersive content projects – This strand will select up to six prototypes that demonstrate the use of 5G or that are 5G ready. Digital Catapult will provide access to testbed facilities as well as technical mentorship to help build and validate the 5G capability.

  • Immersive content with an element of AI – Up to three projects who apply to this strand will receive bespoke mentoring from Digital Catapult AI technologists to help develop the usage of AI in their projects. Some of these utilisations might be through the actual content, whereas others could be through the toolset the creators use to build their projects.

Technologists from Digital Catapult will be available to answer specific project questions.

The purpose of this session is for creators to gain a more in depth understanding of the programme and the types of projects CreativeXR looks to support this year. We will go through the different project strands presented in the application brief, what support each of the selected strands will be provided and how the programme is continuously adapting to the current climate.
