The Digital Supply-Chain Innovation Hub will establish and nurture an ecosystem that connects expertise from supply-chain experts in many of the UKs most important manufacturing industries with technology providers, research organisations and academics to improve their competitiveness, resilience, productivity and sustainability. It will combine over £20M public and private co-investment over ~4 years to accelerate commercial integration of industrial digital technologies by a wide range of UK manufacturing supply-chains. what you’ll do
  • Working closely with the Digital Supply Chain Hub Director, core programme partners and advisory boards to develop the strategy and areas of innovation in Digital Supply Chains and support delivery through the hub
  • Developing the business model for the long term commercial sustainability of the programme
  • Ability to develop commercial value propositions in relation to the programmes product development and validation with industrial partners in the digital supply chain
  • Keep up to date with developments in the sector through collaboration with DSCIH partners, governance boards and wider network
  • Contribute to developing new and maintaining existing commercial industry and tech partnerships in Digital Supply Chains
  • Build industry networks for the DSCIH working with the wider Digital Catapult team and with existing contacts
  • Developing the strategy for international coordination and liaison around Digital Supply Chains
  • Bring an outside in perspective to digital supply chain innovation and challenging existing thinking and insights
what we’re looking for
  • Proven track record of commercial partnerships with industry and/or tech sectors, with experience of closing commercial partnerships over £1m
  • Able to demonstrate Digital Supply Chain know-how and understanding of the technology/ business landscape, ecosystem, value chain and future trends
  • Good grasp of the financial case for investments in digital technology and data, and what future business models for manufacturing supply chains might look like
  • Understanding and experience of using digital technologies and data to transform business practices within the sector and increase insight
  • Connected and networked in the UK with relevant players on both the industry and technology side
  • An understanding of the digital technology landscape in digital supply chains and Digital Catapult’s current position within that environment
  • Experience of working with executives and senior management with industry partners to capture requirements and formulate Digital Supply Chain solutions
