We are seeking someone with an ambition to grow and contribute to the continued success of our Collaborative R&D work. Your role will be to support and work with an experienced and successful team of R&D Partnership Managers, with the aim of driving the growth of our CR&D portfolio in the UK and internationally. You will help with operations and proposal drafting for the team to achieve its targets. You will be part of a team that helps companies transform around the adoption of advanced digital technology and to become more effective in a more challenging marketplace. This is where the Catapult provides key value to the UK economy. The day-to-day operations are fast paced including new challenges, creative problem solving, and goal setting, responding in an agile and pro-active manner is integral to success.

what you’ll do
  • Support the team in writing the standard forms for funding proposals: on company description forms, budgeting and other standard annexes required by funders
  • Be POC (point of contact) for the team, responding to day-to-day enquiries (from companies, partners, internal to the team ) to help solve them and/or allocate them to the relevant colleague in the CR&D team or across the organisation
  • Coordinate operations management: prepare reports based on Salesforce, gathering data and basic analysis for weekly and monthly reports, internal and external communication and logistics support for events attended by the team
  • Monitor closely all our memberships in search of funding opportunities, key events and news of interest to the CR&D team, and disseminate them internally to the relevant stakeholders
  • Participate in UK & international events (i.e. funds opportunity briefings, thematic events) to advocate on DC’s programmes and to identify & establish new partnerships for the Business Development team.
what we’re looking for
  • Experience around funding mechanisms (Innovate UK, H2020, other funders) and CR&D processes
  • Experience of defining, scoping and operationalising new R&D projects, including work packages, resources and priorities. Financially literate individuals, with strong IT skills
  • Ability to manage a portfolio of proposals simultaneously and adapt to changing schedules and project requirements
  • Experience in internal and external management of partners and stakeholders relationships
  • Some understanding of digital technologies and willing to learn more
