The Project Analysis and Resource Manager will work collaboratively with colleagues in the Programme Delivery team and have specific responsibility for undertaking analysis of the project portfolio to identify and report on risks, support the tracking of outputs and impacts, resourcing, as well as financial and delivery performance. As part of this work, the Project Analysis and Resource Manager will develop and operate systems for project reporting and control. Through this work the Project Analysis and Resource Manager will help to ensure that projects are fully resourced and completed to scope, schedule and budget and deliver the planned impact.

what you’ll do
  • Day to day support to Programme Delivery team, leading the portfolio and project analysis, reporting, advice, and maintaining project assets and related database(s)
  • Implementing a robust system of project and portfolio reporting and review, undertaking analysis and producing mothly Portfolio Dashboards and Reports
  • Evaluating projects and producing monitoring period actuals and forecasts for budget holders, including preparing for month end accruals, transfers and adjustments
  • Evaluating resourcing plans, monitoring and producing period actuals and forecasts for project managers, team leaders and the management team, including preparing for adjustments and resource/cost estimates for potential new projects
  • Supporting the Programme Delivery Team in preparing and presenting investment and other project appraisals for inclusion in business cases and budgets, providing specialist advice as required
  • Representing the team in key budget holder meetings to clearly communicate issues and provide financial support and advice

  • Strong Excel and Power Point skills - adept at managing conflicting priorities

  • Coordination, prioritisation and multitasking skills - adept at managing conflicting priorities with a creative and flexible attitude
  • Experience managing groups of stakeholders for complex portfolios
  • Exceptional communication and problem solving skills - able to engage a variety of personalities and cultures
