Due to the planned further expansion of Digital Catapult in the coming year, we are seeking an experienced and highly successful internal recruiter to join us, initially, on a four month basis. You will have a broad range of recruitment and talent selection experience from working for agencies and/or in-house and will have hired great people for fast growth, ideally, technology focused companies. Whether hiring for niche Technology roles or Business Support and Commercial teams, you will have a highly proactive, creative and engaged approach to talent identification, attraction and selection and will, tenaciously, follow through to successful placements.

what you’ll do
  • Work with Hiring Managers to build compelling role descriptions
  • Plan the hiring strategy for each role you manage i.e. identify the best recruitment channels, consider networking opportunities and headhunting approach
  • Be a Digital Catapult brand ambassador in everything you do
  • Post role advertisements according to defined hiring strategy and conduct the first filter of response
  • Conduct telephone screenings and face to face interviews
  • Liaise with and support hiring managers throughout the entire recruitment process including: advising on pipeline activity, structuring interview processes, scheduling interviews, collating feedback, ensuring candidates receive quality feedback and are thus left with a positive impression of their interview experience (even if unsuccessful), extending offers to and closing candidates
  • Manage candidate application flow via the Talent Management System (Sage People, based on SF.com technology) and ensure timely updates
  • As required, and as approved, manage the selection of appropriate recruitment agency partners. However, the emphasis for this role is on direct hiring
  • Provide status updates on hiring processes and suggest new, innovative ideas to attracting talent in order to maintain healthy pipelines of talent for all roles
  • Work as an integral part of the Human Resources team.
what we’re looking for
  • You will have solid and proven experience of working in recruitment / talent acquisition teams from both agency and/or working in-house
  • A background recruiting in/for high tech, digital, cutting edge technology companies
  • You will be an excellent and proactive user of LinkedIn and other online recruitment and social media channels e.g. Facebook, Glassdoor, niche job sites
  • You will be accustomed to direct headhunting
  • A professional networker – you will be motivated to attend both our internally organised networking events and other relevant external events in order to build your network of contacts and candidate pipeline
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and to act with a sense of urgency
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Must be inquisitive, creative, proactive, and tenacious
  • Brand conscious with an understanding of how “first impressions count”
  • A business partner and enabler who provides invaluable support to hiring managers
