Audio-Visual Coordinator

Working closely with the rest of the Digital Catapult Centre team, the Audio-Visual Coordinator will be responsible for operating in-house AV equipment and providing technical support for all events at the state of the art Digital Catapult event space.

what you’ll do
  • Setting up equipment according to instructions from the Events team
  • Thoroughly testing equipment before each event and operating equipment during events
  • Proactively finding and dealing with any faults on site which implies working closely with the IT Support Team to resolve AV issues in meeting rooms, event spaces and across the content management systems
  • Assisting with efficient and timely turnarounds between events requiring different furniture setups
  • Filming events that take place at Digital Catapult
  • Client management
what we’re looking for
  • Basic understanding of windows, OSX operating systems and competence with video editing software
  • A good working knowledge of commonly used office software, particularly presentation packages like PowerPoint, Keynote & Prezi
  • Ability to manipulate presentations in multiple programmes
  • Willingness to work flexibly, and outside of normal office hours, as part of a team, often working on early morning or late evening events
  • Ability to work independently, receiving minimal guidance and providing creative ideas for fixing problems
  • An interest in working within the tech industry
